Communication 4.0 represents a challenge due to the enormous speed of digital transformation. We have reviewed external communication processes with an emphasis on the digital tools needed to effectively communicate our ideas and reach our target audience, stressing the creation of Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram. We have also seen the need for a digital marketing strategy that allows us to define our objectives and the subjacent principles that govern any marketing proposal. On the other hand, we have seen the creation of an internal communication plan, highlighting the most remarkable features and the need for open and fluid communication between employees. We closed our module with a brief approach to social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of our communication strategies. In short, we focused on practical creation, promoting a step-by-step vision of development and implementation. We hope this module can contribute to achieving your goals and help you to lead your future communication strategy. Remember that adaptation is a fundamental competence of the creation process and, therefore, we want to encourage you to be updated on the trends of communication 4.0 and to make the most of your efforts.
2.1 Web browser: How to use it.
“Web Browser” is a particular software that allows you to browse the Web, and download or upload resources.
We will use the Microsoft Edge browser introduced with the Windows 10 operating system. To open the browser, just click on the icon on the desktop or select the icon in the Start Menu.
The main features are in the top bar:
– The arrows allow you to go back to the previously viewed page or to the one from which we came back.
– The circular arrow allows the page to be refreshed.
– The house allows you to load the page set as your home page.
– The padlock identifies the security of the website.
– The address bar where you can write the address of the site to be viewed.
– The Book opens a blog post in reading mode.
– The Star adds the site to the bookmarks bar (regular bookmarks and reading list).
– The Hub (three lines) is divided into categories: Favorites, the Reading List, and the history of the pages visited.
To view a web page, just type the site address in the address bar.
Browsers allow you to open multiple websites in a single browser window by inserting them into the tabs, you can switch from one site to another by selecting the corresponding tab.
While you browse your browser, it stores temporary files, history of visited sites, information entered on the sites (name, address …), saved passwords, etc… To delete this data, select the Hub> History> Delete all history button and select what to delete.
Anonymous browsing allows you to browse without leaving traces on Internet Explorer. Private browsing prevents the person who might be using your computer from seeing which sites you have visited and what you have seen on the Internet. While it is true that your computer will therefore not keep any track of your browsing history, your Internet provider or your employer will still be able to monitor the pages you visit.
So, concluding to start using your search browser you just need:
– Choose a browser and install it on your computer (or use the one already installed on it).
– Open it and click on the address bar.
– Write a web address in it and click send.
