3.1 What are browser extensions?
Extensions (or add-ons) are digital components (software) that, once installed on your web browser, allow you to extend the functionality.
They are used to optimize the browsing experience, giving you the ability to perform activities with the browser in its default state. Thanks to them you can customize and better organize your productivity and your user experience.

There are extensions for dozens of purposes:

- for weather conditions
- to protect your privacy
